Map of 500 Days of Summer Landmarks

One of my favorite films of the year is 500 Days of Summer. It’s edgy, original, hilarious, heartbreaking and beautiful. I sat through the entire film with a smile in my face! I was so emotionally invested in the two characters that by the end of the film I felt like I had two new friends. It’s such a great film and I know for a fact it will be in my top 10 at the end of the year. It’s currently in limited release but I believe it’s going to start expanding into theaters nationwide. I really hope that the film catches on and becomes a huge hit……but sometimes when that happens, I get pushed away from the film….cough cough Napolean Dynamite, Little Miss Sunshine……but I feel like this film REALLY deserves the love and attention.
If you’ve seen the film then it is impossible not to want to visit all the various locations featured in the film. I love when films are set in Los Angeles, especially Downtown because I’ve always felt like our downtown is not nearly on the same level with ordinary big cities. In LA, we stay FAR FAR AWAY from going down there unless we HAVE to. Every other city, the downtown is the center of all life of the city. It is the heart that keeps the city alive. Our downtown is like the wart of Los Angeles. With the improvements from the LA Live project and films like 500 Days of Summer as well as I Love You Man, I feel as though our downtown is soon gonna have a bit more respect and authenticity. Best part of the film, the fact that they used the UCLA marching band instead of the usual USC. Big ups for that!
Included below is an interactive map that shows you where many of the best scenes from 500 Days of Summer took place. I died when I found the address of the bench. If you don’t care about the below map then I know it’s because you haven’t seen the movie. Bookmark this page and get ready to run to the site once you’ve seen the film.
Expect pics from all the locations very shortly! ![]()
