Random Celeb Encounter: JoJo
So we all went out to dinner at Mel’s Diner out Saturday night to celebrate Brooke’s last day in Los Angeles. We had a delicious dinner and/or cups of water. After about an hour or so, we saw that it was 1am and it was time to finally call it a night and get some sleep. We were paying the bill when all of a sudden three girls exit right behind us and Dominic says “I think that was JoJo!” I initially said, “Who?” And then I realized he was talking about THE JoJo. If you don’t know who JoJo is then it’s time you refresh your memory with this #1 hit that she sang.
So we ran out of the restaurant and saw three girls whose arms were linked and they were stumbling down Highland Ave. I don’t think it was drunk stumbling but more “We’re teenage girls having like totally like soooooo much fun LOL’ stumbling. I screamed out, “JOJO!!!!!!” and all of a sudden all three girls turned there hand. I did NOT think it was her but it was just three plain looking white girls which according to Dave was 100% confirmation that it WAS infact JoJo. So once they turned I screamed, “Can we get a picture!?!?” She responded, “Um…YEAAA!!!!” and she came skipping towards us. We posed for a picture then I HAD to ask her about her latest cd. “What’s going on with the new record?” “Ugh, I’m in a lawsuit with record label because they won’t let me out of my contract.” “That sucks so badly! Not cool at all!” We said goodbye and they went stumbling off again, then all of a sudden Dave came out of the restaurant and said “Wait that was really her?” I responded, “YES!” He then said, “Dam I wanted a picture with her!” I screamed out “JOJO!!!!!!!” She turned her head again, “can my friend get a picture with you?!?” “Um…YEAAA!!!!” So she came skipping back and Dave got to take picture with a legend in the making AND JoJo.
